NonaBruna

Discover Lola Giardino, the designer behind Nona Bruna, the ceramic, recipes and creative experiences brand, all made only with love.

What made you want to create NonaBruna?

In 2012, I felt the need to give a concrete form to my own ideas. To let go the computer and start creating with my own hands. Something authentic, that would reconnect myself to my family traditions. Something that would make me come back home.

What are your main inspirations to create new products?

I get inspiration from my everyday, travels, nature, my family, books, people… everything can awaken my inspiration.

The motto of your brand?

Each moment is unique and irreplaceable, so we need to make it matter.

How would you define your style?

Authentic, perfectly imperfect, organic, natural, beautiful, luminous.

Between all your works, which one is your favourite? Why?

My favourite one is the first ceramic plate I’ve made. It’s big, irregular, heavy. But it’s full of enthusiasm, innocence and lots of love. Now I’m making a new set, that I also really like.

¿Your trick to start your day?

Meditating 20min, having breakfast with cereales, fruits, seeds and vegetable milk.

The best advices someone has ever given you?

When someone is seeking advice, they actually want to confirm their own theory.

The last song that was stuck in your head?

At Home – Crystal Fighters

An item you couldn’t live without?

I can’t think of any items. I couldn’t live without my sisters.

Now we will ask you some questions so we can get to know you a bit more.

Beach or mountain?

Beach.

Early bird or night owl?

Night owl

Inside or outside?

I love staying at home, but I also love nature and travels.

Alone or in a group?

I love spending time on my own, but also sharing time with beautiful people.

Argentina, Italy or Spain?

Barcelona, Necochea

Colourful or crude?

Crude.

Gastronomy or ceramic?

All together.

Black, white or green? Talking about Kailani of course!

White 🙂
